Healthy meats are a pretty hefty group in terms of varieties. More and more tables are being set with variety meats as the main dish. Buffalo Meat for one has long been a staple in this country American to the Native Americans, but it is at the top of this group of meat that have always remained Natural, another similar example is Elk Meat. These animals roam the range and are in the grass fed meats category as well as natural meats.
Grass fed Beef for one is rich in amino acids which is a major building block for good health. Buffalo and elk are much leaner than beef and high in amino acids and of coarse a good source of protein. Buffalo meat is somewhat available in retail stores, but elk meat is purely an online sourced product. Online meat purveyors have a good variety of natural meats to choose from. A popular substitute for red meat in the natural group is Ostrich Meat, which taste like beef and the burgers are excellent.
You might have guessed that these meats have a higher price point than the standard meats we have consumed for the last 3 generations, but the more demand there is for healthy meats the more competition arises to meet the need and the family with a delicious buffalo steak wins.
